NHEJ: Non-ligatable DNA ends are processed

[Homo sapiens]

They may be processed in two ways - the 'classical' and DSB subset processing. The 'classical' one can be done either by resection of single-strand overhangs by Artemis, or by filling by polymerase. The DSB subset processing takes place when overhangs are partially complementary, and requires the XLF/Cernunnos complex.

This is the reaction from:
DNA-PKcs autophosphorylated in Homo sapiens
to
processed non-ligatable ends in Homo sapiens
