Gtf2h1

Protein FULL name:

general transcription factor IIH subunit 1 [Mus musculus].

Gtf2h1 (Mus musculus) is product of expression of Gtf2h1 gene.

FUNCTION: Component of the core-TFIIH basal transcription factor involved in nucleotide excision repair (NER) of DNA and, when complexed to CAK, in RNA transcription by RNA polymerase II.

SUBUNIT: One of the 6 subunits forming the core-TFIIH basal transcription factor which associates with the CAK complex composed of CDK7, CCNH/cyclin H and MNAT1 to form the TFIIH basal transcription factor. Interacts with PUF60 (By similarity).

SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Nucleus.

SIMILARITY: Contains 2 BSD domains.

NCBI GenPept GI number(s): 188035919
Species: Mus musculus
