T7P1.7

Protein FULL name:

putative DNA helicase; 33057-26178 [Arabidopsis thaliana].

T7P1.7 (Arabidopsis thaliana) is product of expression of ATRECQ4B gene.

FUNCTION: 3'-5' DNA helicase that may play a role in the repair of DNA (By similarity). Required to promote but not to suppress crossovers.

CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: ATP + H(2)O = ADP + phosphate.

COFACTOR: Magnesium or manganese (By similarity).

SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Nucleus (By similarity).

TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Mostly expressed in roots, seedlings, shoots, shoot apical mersitem, flowers, and siliques.

INDUCTION: Repressed by cold.

DISRUPTION PHENOTYPE: Not mutagen-sensitive, and impaired in hyperrecombination (HR).

SIMILARITY: Belongs to the helicase family. RecQ subfamily.

SIMILARITY: Contains 1 helicase ATP-binding domain.

SIMILARITY: Contains 1 helicase C-terminal domain.

SIMILARITY: Contains 1 HRDC domain.

SEQUENCE CAUTION: Sequence=AAG51646.1; Type=Erroneous gene model prediction;
