F13M14.2

Protein FULL name:

putative DNA gyrase subunit A; 1114-7603 [Arabidopsis thaliana].

F13M14.2 (Arabidopsis thaliana) is product of expression of gene.

FUNCTION: DNA gyrase negatively supercoils closed circular double- stranded DNA in an ATP-dependent manner.

CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: ATP-dependent breakage, passage and rejoining of double-stranded DNA.

SUBUNIT: Made up of two chains. The A chain is responsible for DNA breakage and rejoining; the B chain catalyzes ATP hydrolysis (By similarity).

SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Plastid, chloroplast. Mitochondrion.

SIMILARITY: Belongs to the topoisomerase gyrA/parC subunit family.

SEQUENCE CAUTION: Sequence=AAF19580.1; Type=Erroneous gene model prediction; Sequence=AAG51377.1; Type=Erroneous gene model prediction;

NCBI GenPept GI number(s): 12322780
Species: Arabidopsis thaliana
