MMR: ExoI loads onto heteroduplex DNA with nick 5' to mismatch (distant site)

[Homo sapiens]

ExoI makes physical interactions with MutSalpha, and this interactions are necessary to activate exonuclease activity of ExoI. ExoI can load either on pre-existing 5'-nick or on the nick introduced by MutLalpha.

This is the reaction from:
Mismatch in heteroduplex DNA with nick 5' to mismatch and nicks around mismatch bound by MutSalpha-MutLalpha complex in Homo sapiens
to
Heteroduplex DNA with nick 5' to mismatch and nicks around mismatch, and with bound MutSalpha-MutLalpha complex, bound by ExoI (distant site) in Homo sapiens
