Lif1p

Protein FULL name:

Component of the DNA ligase IV complex that mediates nonhomologous end joining in DNA double-strand break repair; physically interacts with Dnl4p and Nej1p; homologous to mammalian XRCC4 protein (LIF1)

Lif1p (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) is product of expression of LIF1 gene.

Lif1p is involved in:

NHEJ in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Keywords:

FUNCTION: Stabilizes DNL4. Involved in non-homologous repair of DNA double-strand breaks.

SUBUNIT: Interacts with the BRCT domain of DNL4 and with NEJ1. The DNL4-LIF1 complex interacts with POL4.

INTERACTION: P38799:-; NbExp=1; IntAct=EBI-23865, EBI-24593; Q08387:DNL4; NbExp=2; IntAct=EBI-23865, EBI-5983; Q06148:NEJ1; NbExp=2; IntAct=EBI-23865, EBI-34047;

SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm. Nucleus.

MISCELLANEOUS: Present with 876 molecules/cell in log phase SD medium.
